Start from a style, then set colors, fonts, palettes and shapes: the real visuals update with every change. Then copy the JSON theme and paste it into each of your Plume visuals.
The real Power BI visuals, running in your browser with the sample report data. Fonts come from your computer: on a Mac, a similar font replaces the Windows fonts. Slicers: only background, text, secondary text, lines, accent, font and frame apply to them for now.

Name of your style guide (60 characters). It only appears in the JSON, to help you find your way.
Starting style
The style your guide starts from: anything you don't change keeps its value. In Power BI, it applies when the visual's Style list is set to “None”.
Colors
+
Visual background: backdrop of Ridgeline Plume and Plume Map, frame background of the slicers and the base range. “Transparent” lets the report page show through.
Second background color, for a vertical gradient. “Flat background” keeps a single color.
Background of KPI cards, headers and highlighted table cells. Automatic: the background color (white if the background is transparent).
Main text: titles, data labels, table cells, KPI and slicer values, Ridgeline Plume annotations.
Gridlines, table lines and slicer borders. Plume Map derives its land and border colors from it, the slicers their bar track.
Selection, cursors, buttons, links, the Gantt “Today” line, KPI sparklines. It is the main color of the slicers (bars, chips, handles).
5.3:1 · legible
Second accent: glow and hover. Automatic: the accent color.
Outline of Ridgeline Plume ridges, Plume Map bars and contour lines.
Favorable change: KPI Plume, Waterfall Plume, completed Gantt tasks. Always paired with a ▲ arrow. Not read by the slicers yet.
5:1 · legible
Unfavorable change: KPI Plume, Waterfall Plume, late Gantt tasks. Always paired with a ▼ arrow. Not read by the slicers yet.
5.4:1 · legible
Palettes
+
One color per series: grouped bars and lines, Scatter Plume points, “one color per ridge” in Ridgeline Plume. The first one is the single color. Without a list, series are drawn from the gradient.
Color by value: Ridgeline Plume ridges, Plume Map relief, color-scale formatting in tables and charts. If you don't pick an accent, the slicers use its most legible color.
Deviations around a neutral middle (at least 3 colors): “color band” table header, deviation scales.
Reverses the gradient and deviation scales in the visuals that have one (base range, Ridgeline Plume, Plume Map). Adds to the “Reverse gradients” switch of the Format pane.
Typography
+
Font of every text in the visual. Only fonts shipped with Windows: a certified visual loads no font from the Internet.
Visual titles and slicer headers. Applied only if the visual's font was left at its default in the Format pane.
Numeric cells of Table Plume and Matrix Plume. Charts and KPIs keep the visual's font.
Column headers of Table Plume and Matrix Plume, slicer headers. “> prompt” writes lowercase text after a “>”, like a terminal.
Thickness of header text, from 100 (thin) to 900 (black).
Extra space between header letters, in em. Useful with uppercase.
Frame
+
Corner radius of the slicer and base range frames, and of KPI cards. Ridgeline Plume and Plume Map use the Power BI container frame.
Border around the slicers and the base range visuals.
From 0 to 4 px. A double border needs at least 3 px.
Solid, dashed, dotted or double.
Automatic: the lines and grid color.
Soft: light shadow under the frame. Hard: offset shadow in the text color. Glow: halo in the accent color. With a hard shadow or a glow, the frame moves in by 6 px so the shadow stays visible.
Tables
+
Shape of the column header of Table Plume and Matrix Plume.
Background of the “filled band” header. Automatic: chosen by the visual.
Text of the “filled band” header. Automatic: the most legible color on its background.
Every other row lightly tinted: Table Plume, Matrix Plume and the Gantt task table.
Horizontal line between table rows: solid, dashed, dotted or none.
Vertical lines between table columns.
Bars and lines
+
Fill of bars (Bar Plume, Waterfall Plume, Gantt), areas (Line Plume), ridges (Ridgeline Plume), points (Scatter Plume) and flows (Sankey Plume).
Corner radius of Bar Plume and Gantt bars. 99 gives pill-shaped bars.
Line Plume, KPI sparklines and the Ridgeline Plume ridge line.
Straight, smooth or stepped: Line Plume and Ridgeline Plume.
A point on every value of Line Plume curves.
Dark outline around very light colors, so they stay visible on a light background.
Effects
+
Luminous halo around marks and the title, like the Neon and Hologram styles.
Automatic: the accent color.
Subtle pattern under the visual's content, drawn in CSS (no image): paper, halftone, grid, scanlines or color band.
